What Books Do I Want to Read?

There are a lot of books I want to read since I read SO much and always have a book in my hand. The book I’m rteading right now is Civil War Chicago, which discusses the role that the city played in the U. S. Civil War and all the people, whether famous or infamous, the average Joe or Jane, or all types of people who were involved in the 4 year conflict and the effects it had on the city. But actually, the books that I want to read afterwards are really the ones that I have in my possession right now, which is The Lincoln Conspiracy, which talks about the “conspiracy” involving President Lincoln’s assassination in April 1865, The Power Game (which deals with the political battles of Washington between the 1960’s to the 80’s), Bullwhip Days (I think I read this, I kinda forgot, in which former slaves give an oral history of their time in bondage before and after the Civil War), and The Warmth of Other Suns, which deals with the Great Migration of African-Americans from the South. I also have other books that I would love to read and I will get to them when I can (which I know I will), but for now I’m kind of doing an “orderly fashion” type of reading, meaning that I’m reading books in an order according to time periods and events that occurred over the years.

So those are the books that I am going to read at the moment in the near future when finished with the one I’m reading now. Who knows? I may switch up the order or just stick to the script, but I know I’m going to read them and definetely enjoy myself when doing it. I’m the type of person that feels that if a person is gonna read something, make sure it’s worth reading and doesn’t bore you and make you lose attention to what is at hand when reading it, otherwise it’ll be just a waste of time picking up the book.
